The usb c Apple Pencil is pressure sensitive I have it

the iPad Pro didn’t realease may 15 bc I got it April 4

I bought an Apple Pencil pro today because ive wanted an Apple Pencil for 2 years since I’m a beginner artist wanting to improve. When I bought it, it wouldn’t work with my iPad Air generation 4. I’m not able to return it as well because I’ve also ordered it to write my name on it so returning it is impossible. Now I have to get a new iPad Pro or I will never be able to use my Apple Pencil. ☹️

Definitely messed up after the Pro release. Making it compatible with older iPads would cut the 2nd gen out making the Pro and USB C the only 2 models to think about. Would be more cost effective to focus on them and less confusing in the end.

Correct is that data is copied to the RAM of the GPU. If there is a dedicated GPU with own Ram. And data is copied into caches of the CPU, which is way faster RAM. But Mx CPUs also use caches. And the graphics data might not be copied into a graphics ram but nevertheless it occupies the RAM I can use for calculations. Unified RAM is worse than the standard pc architecture. True is, you need less memory in total, but the memory available to the cpu is shrinking. But cheaper to produce. More profit for Apple. 8GB is currently working. In two years MacOS will only run smoothly if there are no apps running. And then support will discontinued for these models because of the lack of memory. So why is there a 8GB model? Either you pay in a few years for a new mac or you pay now for 16gb. Nevertheless: You will pay. I still own two Macs. My MacBook Air is more than 10 years old. And has 8GB of RAM anyway. I recreated all my presentations on LibreOffice to be undependent from Apple and use a Linux-Laptop today. The apple universe is working great, but at the end you cannot escape. When the support for your model ends you have to buy a new one. There is no more Linux support for a 32bit consumer laptop I am no longer using because it cannot even compete with a raspberry pi. That's okay. It is at least 20 years old. But when I dig it up from a trash yard about 10 years ago, it works completely fine with a modern Linux distribution.

For 1700 usd, other laptops have 16gb of ram plus 8gb of vram that's 24gb in total if it was apu compared to 8gb unified, it's still very less

Apple putting standard only 8Gbyte of ram in UPSCALE COMPUTER HARDWARE and then UPSELLING more memory at over 10x the actual cost is a huge problem. 8Gbyte is simple not enough for the money you pay for it! That and 8Gbyte might be enough for a "light normal user" Yeah but creatives who use it to make art, edit videos, and so on... on the go. You know the market Apple is targeting. THOSE people??? Those know all to well that 8Gbyte is a joke! You can get windows laptops with 16Gbyte standard at that price level!

I don’t draw but I use the pencil for writing. I feel like wasting so much money for that pencil is stupid if you do not draw. I bought a fake one from amazon for $10. Works perfectly. If you draw then buy an original one.

idk if i'm the wrong one, but i keep the first couple of pages unchanged from a new iphone (including dock), then i have a page for my socials, a page for productivity, a page for music, page for light games and then my last page is just the collage of all the other stuff i should probs delete

Delete the air, Make the 11 in pro basically the "air", Pro 13 in with double battery but thicker , Give the entry level ipad & the mini the m1 (and give the mini 6gb of ram) Perfect line up imo

I am surprised that the iPad Mini still exists whenever Apple could easily just have various size options for the regular iPad. Then again, they very well could've deleted the base "iPad" from existence to let the Air steal its niche, just like with the MacBook.

I love Touch ID and I'll always prefer it to Face ID, but me and Touch ID on my iPhone SE 1st Gen ended on a little beef when it locked me out of my bank account for failing too many times.

They could do one thing and turn the iPad into a must have. Put macOS on it. If i could boot between ipadOS and macOS id love it. Now that ARM based windows machines are here im going to be ditching my M1 iPad Pro 12.9 later this year when the 5g snapdragon X elite based surface pro 11s come out

they just need to release more "pro apps" that make specific use of the chip's power in order to cather to the demand of Ipad Pro users.

looking at the lineup you made with only 3 ipads made me realise how wrong it is. The iPad Air is in my opinion a bigger iPad Mini and that is who they're targetting. I can see a casual customer buy an iPad Air but not an iPad Pro. Amazing video as always though, hope to see more :P

This is a problem with the Vision Pro as well. It’s NOT a “spatial computer”, it’s a “spatial iPad”. It runs what’s essentially an AR version of iPadOS instead of a REAL computer OS like macOS. I wish the EU would force Apple to open up their operating systems even more, to the point where users can give admin perms or reserved entitlements to any application they want, at any time. Let them actually own every bit of their devices.
